5This Stuff Really Works!Mar 10, 2007
By John
I was prepared to be disappointed but this product really works. I thoroughly cleaned all the old gunk off my horn, applied the Slide-o-Mix being careful to follow the directions, and things worked pretty well right off the bat. Then over the next few weeks, and after occasionally applying more product, things improved from "okay" to GREAT! My slide has never worked this well. And those who say Slide-o-Mix will last a long time are correct.

5Excellent -- use nothing elseAug 09, 2008

I used to use cold cream and water, but no more. I will never go back now that I've used Slide-o-mix for the past few years. The two-part system really works -- first put on the silicone-type oil, just a little. Work that in, and then apply the soapy-type stuff and work it in. Then spray with water and voila, your slide moves like butter on a hot griddle! I then use water most of the time until it starts dragging a little again. When that happens, I just put some more of the soapy stuff on it, spray with water, and it's good to go for another couple uses. I totally clean off the whole slide and start over from scratch maybe once a month or so (I only play once or twice a week though).

It's expensive, but it should last you many years. I don't think I'll ever run out, since I play only occasionally.

5My favoriteMay 19, 2005

I've used Superslick, Trombotine, and Slide-o-mix. Slide-O-Mix is my favorite for smooth, quick action. Doesn't get too sticky or build up over time (like Superslick), but it's a little expensive.

5Slide-O-Mix changed my trombone life!Oct 01, 2008
By J. Fesmire "jef"
Silde-O-Mix fixed my King 3B. It was a wonderful trombone for 15 years, but always had a too-tight slide that wouldn't work completly smooth. I tried Slide-O-Mix and it was a transformation to the best slide action ever. I'm now going back for another bottle after a few years. Expensive, HA! It is the best bargain ever.

5So much better than slide oil. Not expensive, the effect is worth itOct 15, 2010
By Ron
Until 9 months ago, my trombone hadn't seen action in 20 years. I used slide oil years ago, so I tried it again, but the action was rough & loud. I thought my slide was bowed or something, and in need of repair. Turns out, I just needed a better lubricant.
I applied Slide-O-Mix on Monday, then didn't pick up the 'bone until our Thursday rehearsal. I can't get over how amazing it is to play with a smooth running horn. I can't even scratch my nose during a whole rest because the slide starts falling off.
This stuff is really good.
