Great priceMay 19, 2013
By Ben Pollock This is a basic mute for tenor trombones. Such mutes cost more than they should, imo. So I bought based on price, including Amazon's free shipping.
Great Value. Good PerformanceMar 27, 2013
By TrombonePlayer224 First of all, I am very happy about this purchase. For my credentials for reviewing this product, I am a Jazz trombonist as well as an Orchestra Trombonist with several years of experience. At first glance, this mute looks great, and the build quality is solid. In jazz, the mute performed well and gave a nice punchy sound somewhat comparable to a trumpet with a cup mute. I have only used this in Orchestra once, and the opportunity rarely comes up, but it's nice to have one to use whenever. Basically, for sound and performance I would give this mute a 10/10. The only problem I've had with the mute is keeping it in the trombone. I found that you have to twist the mute very firmly to get it to stay, which is a bit irritating, but the mute functions 100% nevertheless. Awesome Product.
