Great Mute, Right PriceJul 11, 2010

There are a lot of mutes out there with prices ranging to over $100. I don't get a lot of mute oportunities, but I get more calls for a straight mute than most others. I get fewer calls for cup and Wah mutes. I like toe tone quality of the mute with my Conn 48H Connstellation tenor trombone, and it had the best price around.

Just like the one he had in schoolNov 05, 2012
By oldbaritone Our son graduated, and he's still playing. The school had mutes to loan, but now he needs his own. This was the same model he used at school, and most of the pros in the Big Band use the same mute. Works great, sounds nice.

classicOct 01, 2012
By Greg Michaels As a jazz player, there is no more classic sound then the fiberglass straight mute. Though having a metal mute is recommended for other work, I have the cup, bucket, and straight mute in the Humes and Berg line, and they all work great! Highly recommended.
Works as expected.May 03, 2013
By Rex Delivery was quick and the product works great.
Since there are no moving parts or electronics here, I cannot imagine anything possibly going wrong in the long run either.
Good SoundApr 17, 2013

"Your opinions may differ"
I am happy with the sound produced by my trombone when using this mute. The cork could probably shaved a bit for my particular instrument for a better fit...but other than that, I'm satisfied with it.
