Does NOT work with a horn with F Attachment!!Dec 26, 2011
By Mr. Sandberg The case itself is very nice, very sturdy. However, the horn I own is a Holton with a F attachment, and it did not fit in the case. I suppose this is my own fault for not looking into it more before I decided on buying it, but be advised: this case is designed for a tenor trombone WITHOUT a F attachment.
Very nice case for the priceJul 29, 2011
By BYODKjiM I have a collection of trombones that needed better cases. I ordered one of these cases and was so pleased with it that I ordered two more. The price is quite reasonable for the quality of the case. You can't drive a truck over it and expect the horn to survive, and I wouldn't recommend it for the beating a middle-school student might inflict. But if you treat it with the care you'd treat the professional horn you put inside it, it should provide good protection for a long time.
The design of the case is quite accommodating. The bell section will be held in place even if its first brace does not seat against the stop in the case. There is plenty of room for the tuning section, so you won't need to push it in when you store the horn. None of the horns I use the case for have an F attachment, so I can't vouch whether such a horn would fit. The slide sits in a pocket and is held in place by a long flap that is secured with snaps, so it won't be able to rattle against the bell.
Elsewhere I've read complaints about the handles being too far forward on this case, making it a bit back-heavy. The reason for the placement becomes apparent when you carry the case using the shoulder strap: it would be uncomfortable holding the handles to steady the case if they were any further back.
The only nitpick I have is that the two compartments inside the case are a bit small. But they are sufficient to carry the mouthpiece, water bottle, slide cream, and slide cream oil. The design of the case holds the compartment lids shut when the case is closed, so the contents of the compartments can not come out and bang against the horn.

So far we were pleased with the condition of the lightweight bag. I hope it holds up to a young persons handling it.

When I got this case, I was surprised at how nice it looked on the outside. The leather trim looks very nice. I was expecting more nylon or cordura. There are two inside compartments for mouthpieces, grease, and other lubes. They are both rather small. There wasn't room to have two mouthpieces and the water bottle.
