Great BagJul 08, 2010 This basic and very lightweight trombone bag does its job well.
It is long enough to hold a tenor with an open-wrap f attachment, but the bell section of the bag zips tightly around my 8.5 inch bell, and I would not recommend trying to squeeze in a bass trombone. Aside from that though the bag is a nice size and will comfortably fit any tenor trombone.
This bag would be perfect if it just had some sort of storage pocket. Although there is a lot of space in the bag, there is no where to keep commonly used items such as slide oil. There isn't even a compartment to store a mouthpiece, so you will have to leave it in the slide or keep it in your pocket.
For a bag as light as this one, I am very happy with the amount of protection it provides. The foam lining the bag is thicker and stronger than I thought it would be. It's not as good as a hard shell case, but I am confident that my trombone would be protected from most falls.
Overall, it's a good bag so long as you don't mind the lack of storage space.
