Best Cup Mute I've ever UsedApr 29, 2007
By Jesus Viramontes

This has to be the best mute, by far the best cup mute, I have ever used and owned. I actually used to use a Harmon Triple Play cup mute (the cup was removable so you could use it as a plunger and a straight mute, but it was too small for my Bach 42BO (I would have to hold it outside of the bell.) This mute is amazing, perfect size, and the cup is adjustable if i need to use it for my small jazz horn. I am actually in the middle of buying the straight denis wick mute!

Excellent muteOct 10, 2010
By swingitup The ability to change between cup and a straight mute is very essential and works great under both styles of mute. Withstands being transported and is very sturdy. Highly recommended.
Excellent muteDec 12, 2012
By Elizabeth Hambleton Very useful mute, as it can be used as a cup or a straight mute. The one very small problem is that it takes a little while to get the cup off, and so changing from cup to straight while playing is inconvenient.
Great mute, good valueNov 09, 2012
By Brad This is a great mute for symphonic playing. I also have a smaller Humes and Berg cup mute but that is only really good for French solo literature and jazz band playing, in my opinion. The Denis Wick mute sounds great and blends well with other brass, especially trumpets playing in the same Denis Wick brand cup mute.
the best cup mute availble.May 01, 2012
By William S. Gilardon As a professional trombonist I have found the Denis Wick Cup Mute to be the very best cup mute available for the trombone. It works well in all registers and the intonation is excellent. I recommend this mute highly. 5 stars!
