I didn't buy this here, nor was it for this price but this is a great 'bone.Jun 07, 2007
By C. Smith This trombone is a smooth operating, well built instrument. It is solid with no rattles or shimmies, the valve is solid and smooth and easy to take care of and the slide is excellent (especially when used with Slide-O-Mix lube). The picture shown is incorrect for this model, the HO has the open wrap F attachment, which extends beyond the regular tuning slide and isn't all twisted up.
I have the rose brass bell model, I found it to have a mellower, warmer sound. I can project enough on my own that I didn't want one of the other models and I prefer the warmer sound.

I don't know if its the picture or the name, but the Conn 88HO trombone is an open wrap trombone, that is why it has an O at the end of the series title. but nothing against the trombone, in fact, the open wrap version of this trombone is what I am currently looking for.
