I was not sure if I should buy this item as it had no reviews, but the lower end Trombones that had write up's had some negative comments that I did not wish to deal with. That being said I decided to pay slitely more and take a gamble on this one. Packaging: The horn was packed very well A smaller box inside a larger box. The Trombone came in a nylon covered hard case with the storage pocket, each peace was in the case was in a scratch proof bag, also included was the mouth peace,white cloves, oil, and two carrying straps. I'm no expert on this stuff so I went to my son's band teacher and he had my son go though the notes and he said the trombone would do just fine. the only difference was the mouth piece was larger than our rental. good buy from Our rental, it will pay for itself in just four months. Please note I gave the five stars not because it's the best but rather its the best for the price for a first year student Thanks
